G – A bad day is a bad day. It’s how you approach the next day that makes a difference. Bad news, a bad hair day, chubby chin, waking up late, not being able to figure out a stupid excel issue…those things happen. But do we have to let it affect our moods for days to come? That, I think, is where we can make a choice. I refuse to let one day affect another. Each day is a clean slate where I can work towards a masterpiece. It’s important to me to have that clean slate every day because I don’t think I could deal with the accumulation of crap upon crap. =) I hope you realize just how beautiful you are – both on the inside and the outside. I’m so happy to be able to read about your life and I can’t wait until I’m back in Seattle visiting you and Paige! You can be your own Sasha Fierce…it’s all in how you choose to live your life.

People are intensely multi-dimensional. So it’s not necessarily that we have alter egos that emerge from the dark woods when called for, but that there are various aspects/personalities/characters of ourselves that come out to better deal with the specific daily situations. You are who you need to be at certain moments. Of course there is a line to when it becomes a bit wacko … but for most of us, it’s just the glorious complexity of our human nature.

As for Beyonce and her perspective. She’s just nuts. Out of body experience??? … More like out of mind — waaaaaay out of mind.

I admit, if you were very shy and had to go on stage to perform, it could be helpful to pretend that you were someone else to get up enough courage to go out there and do your best. So I could see how someone might do that…but the out-of-body stuff? OK, that’s nuts.
