Bobby McFerrin did a little exercise with the audience using a pentatonic (five-note) scale at the World Science Festival in June. I’ve watched this video like 10 times now because (a) it makes me smile each time I see it and (b) it reminds me that despite who or where we are in this world, we share common traits in ways that we don’t fully understand.
It gives me hope.

Coming here from Greeblemonkey, where you made me spew coffee. I had heard about this on NPR, but had not yet seen it. Thanks!
