Turning To The Stars

During difficult times some people turn to God. I turn to astrology.

1. I have a lovely daughter who challenges me to be a better person.
2. I have a passion, it’s called writing.
3. I have really wonderful friends like “the Coven” and Rene.
4. I have the best blog readers in the world and consider all of you friends of some sort too.
5. And I feel amazed that some of you wrote to me to tell me something nice.
6. I have a lot of gratitude for those writers who have helped me, inspired me and made me laugh. You guys know who you are.
7. I am grateful for not being afraid to fail anymore.
8. I am happy that I reconnected with my cousin in Portland.
9. And my friends Melissa and Andrea.
10. I am glad that I have siblings. Even though we don’t talk and are estranged for the most part.
11. I am thankful for an abundance of work, when some people have no work at all.
12. I am blessed with incredible luck.
13. Amazed that doing a little video blog like Momversation could help me get over my fear of the camera and help me to get over my self-image issues.
14. Feeling lucky that I got to take some time off to figure out what direction to go in.
15. Thankful that I own a house in a city where it’s really expensive to own a house.
16. And most of the time I am glad that it’s small because it means that there is less to clean.
17. Thankful to be entering into a “renaissance period” with my daughter.
18. Even though I am still out of shape, my body keeps getting stronger and I keep getting less winded. This is awesome.
19. Grateful for those people who leave magazines like US Weekly and InTouch at the gym so I can escape the reality once in a while.
20. Feeling that my heart is becoming whole, after being broken for a long time.
21. Can’t get over the fact that I am actually glad that I had a difficult childhood because I draw from that strength ALL OF THE TIME.
22. I am blessed with a vivid imagination.
23. And I can draw.
24. And paint. Though I don’t do it enough.
25. I am glad that the Internet exists. There was no such thing as a blog 10 or so years ago. (more…)
